David Banfield is a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer, and one of the first to receive NABCEP’s new PV Technical Sales certification.  David has direct experience designing, estimating, and building utility and commercial-scale solar PV systems.   He is an experienced educator, and well regarded by students from entry level to advanced.

• Established business relationships, negotiated terms, and executed agreements with sub-contractors, material and equipment vendors
• Trained personnel, prepared, coordinated, & conducted orientations, safety, and PV-related training
• Specified and procured tools, equipment, and material
• Designed custom tools for roof-top applications
• Assembled, oriented, and trained personnel crew size up to 20
• Established and operated quality assurance procedures
• Provided system documentation including submittals, schedule of values, progress reports, close-out reports, and operation manual
• Designed and estimated project cost for bids ranging from $1 to $100 million
• Composed and assembled and submitted professional bid packages
• Manufacturer direct relationships include Yingli Solar, BP Solar, SunPerfect Solar, PanelClaw, Daetwyler Clean Energy, Satcon, Schneider Electric / Xantrex, Solar BOS, AMtec, Solar, Cooper-Bussmann, USA Wire & Cable, Wiley Electronics, and National Semiconductor.
