Internship Program Includes:

  • Solar Academy’s leading ”5 -Day Entry-Level Solar Training Course”  - with NABCEP exam.
  • Tailor-made internship experience  in one of these areas:
    • Help expand and develop educational programs with Solar Academy in Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Middle East.
    • Work on one of the events sponsored by the Academy’s non-profit organization, Solar Network International

    • Get on the ground floor of  Advanta Solar – a new solar installation company focused on the emerging Caribbean market – See AdvantaSolar.com
  • $500 monthly stipend for duration of internship.

As a Solar Academy Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team leading the charge in promoting solar energy and training Canada’s solar workforce.  Solar Academy has  trained over 500  individuals in solar design, installation, sales, finance, and law.

We will help you gain the knowledge, skills, and experience for a successful solar industry career.

Solar Internship Program Details

  • First, your internship begins with our intensive 5 Day Entry Level PV Design & Installation Course: Get an in-depth understanding of the solar industry, solar design, and installation practices – at our Toronto or Miami Centres.
  • Next,  use your passion and skills to contribute to one of the many projects under development at Solar Academy, and its sister non-profit organization, Solar Network or installation company, Advanta Solar.
    We will work with you to develop a tailor-made internship experience. We seek people with a wide range of interests, skills, and experience. Our goal is to give you the right experience and contacts to advance your career, while helping to advance the various projects we are developing.
  • Interns must be available for full-time work for 5 months, and successfully meet the deadlines of their internship contracts. Upon successful completion of monthly projects, interns receive a $500 stipend, for a total of $2,500.

While there is no guarantee, past interns have continued on as paid employees of Solar Academy or have obtained gainful employment with other companies in the solar sector. An internship give you the experience and connections to succeed!

Cost: $7,495 +HST – Includes 5 Day course (Regular price $1,495)  and internship program.

  •  5 Day course: $1,495
  • Internship Program Fee: $6,000
  • Monthly Stipend: – $500;  Total Stipend (5 x 500): $2,500
After earning $2,500 , the full internship cost amounts to $3,500.
